Swift Way Route Planner
Last Updated: October 19, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Swift Way Route Planner (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the “App” or “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using the App—available exclusively on the Apple App Store—you consent to the practices described below.
We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
- Contact details: If you email us for support (e.g., at infoswiftwayrouteplanner@gmail.com), we collect your email address and any information you voluntarily include.
- Subscription data: If you subscribe to premium features, Apple handles all payment and billing information. We do not receive or store your credit card details, Apple ID, or payment history.
b) Automatically Collected Data
When you use the App, we may collect:
- Device information: Device model (e.g., iPhone 14), iOS version, screen size
- Technical identifiers: A randomly generated, non-permanent identifier for analytics (not linked to your Apple ID)
- Usage data: Features used, session duration, route planning activity (e.g., number of stops, frequency of use)
- Location data: Only when explicitly permitted by you and only while the App is in use. This includes addresses or coordinates you manually enter or import for route planning. We do not track your real-time location in the background.
📍 Important: All location data is processed on-device whenever possible. Addresses you input are used solely to generate routes and are not stored on our servers unless required for syncing (if such a feature is enabled).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
- Deliver, maintain, and improve the core functionality of the App (e.g., route optimization)
- Respond to your support requests
- Analyze usage trends to enhance performance and user experience
- Detect, prevent, or address technical issues or fraud
- Comply with legal obligations
- Inform you about material updates (via in-app messages only—we do not send marketing emails)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store: Handles all subscription management and payments. We receive only anonymized transaction status (e.g., “active” or “expired”) via Apple’s Server-to-Server notifications.
- Analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase): Used to understand feature usage and crash reports. These services operate under their own privacy policies:
You can limit tracking by:
- Disabling analytics in Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements on your iOS device
- Opting out of ad personalization via Apple’s Limit Ad Tracking setting
We do not use third-party SDKs for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.
4. Data Retention
- Support emails: Retained only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry (typically up to 12 months).
- Usage & diagnostic data: Aggregated and anonymized after 14 months.
- Route data: Stored locally on your device by default. If cloud sync is implemented in the future, it will be end-to-end encrypted and opt-in.
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).
5. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located in the United States or other jurisdictions. Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), we rely on approved transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure adequate protection.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 18 and does not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent (where applicable)
- Request data portability
To exercise these rights or submit a request, contact us at:
infoswiftwayrouteplanner@gmail.com
We will respond within 30 days. For EU/UK users: you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption, access controls) to protect your data. However, no digital system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you promptly in the event of a material data breach.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
